Pilot Point is located in Denton County at the North end of the high-growth district of the 380 Corridor. State Highway 377, a major arterial roadway, running north and south through the city, enables travelers to reach State Highway 380 in less than 15 minutes. From there, State Highway 380 quickly disperses travelers to Denton (5 minutes to the west), Frisco (20 minutes to the southeast) and McKinney (45 minutes to the east). U.S. Interstate 35 and the expanding Dallas North Tollway, which directs traffic to Dallas and Fort Worth, is also less than a 20-minute drive from the City. Also, being located on the Eastern shore of Lake Ray Roberts creates a recreation area with 30,000 acres for water activities and 20 miles for hiking, biking and equestrian trails.
